A portion of the proceeds go to the Susan G Komen for the Cure each year, so, in essence, you are helping others as well. Since the loss of my mother, it has been a mission near and dear to our family’s hearts. If you're thinking about buying, but just not quite sure, here's a little push. Gone But Not Forgotten and Seven Days of Hospice are two completely different genres - fiction and memoir respectively. But what they both offer, and what I truly enjoy writing, are inspirational messages. If heart-felt inspiration is what you need, both books offer it in abundance. I think the reviews would agree with that.

Many thanks, and enjoy!
D.M. The program offers hospice patients an opportunity to record their life story, in their own words, as a special gift to pass on to friends and family after they are gone. Patients are assisted by a volunteer who chronicles the reminiscences. I can't think of a more personal and satisfying heirloom to leave behind. I wish there was such a program when my mother was dying. I'm sure she would have loved the opportunity, and my family would have gladly engaged in the process. We all have memories, thankfully, of loved ones who have passed on. But, as time fades, so do the memories. Having them documented in such a personal fashion keeps those recollections vivid for generations to come. Lumina, thanks for the memories!

Support the Susan G Komen for the Cure!

D.M.
